Artist Statement
Creating fine art gives expression to the transformative power of Beauty.

Beauty awakens within us a sense that greater harmony and balance can be achieved in a seemingly chaotic Universe. It also transports us beyond ourselves, confirming that Creativity renders Evolution irrefutable.

My work begins with a search, rooted in a celebration of Life, where the wonder of organic processes are revealed through the interplay of movement, form, color, and relationships. Instead of emphasizing fragmented or dissonant perceptions--no matter how poignant, or fashionable, or even unconventional--I attempt to embrace, penetrate and then transcend polarities or opposing forces. I am constantly overcoming Resistance, both within the sculptural medium and myself. As I portray the result in a three-dimensional form, genuine shifts in perspective occur.

To venerate Beauty--as an embodiment of a Process of Growth--in an inert object of stone is exhilarating.  My hope is to share this with the observer.
